Yahya related to me from Malik from al-Ala ibn Abd ar-Rahman ibn Yaqub from his father from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade preparing nabidh in a gourd or in a jug smeared with pitch.

Daily Hadith, 30-11-2016

Narrated:
A similar version from the same sanad is reported by sanad from a Marwan ibn Mu'awiyah and Abu Mu'awiyah who from Aasim Ahwal, saying: (You are blessed O Owner of Glory and Honour) There is no God but Allah Alone. He has no partner. To Him belongs the Kingdom and for Him is all praise. He gives life and causes death. And, He is over all things Capable. 0 Allah, no one can deny what you grant and no one can give what you deny. And the effort of one who makes effort cannot help him against You He would also say: Glorified be you, Lord of Majesty above what they describe! And peace be upon the Messenger and all praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. These are verses of the Quran 37: 180.182

Daily Hadith, 28-11-2016

Narrated: Jabir bin Abdullah
My father was martyred on the day (of the battle) of Uhud and his creditors demanded the debt back in a harsh manner. So I went to Allah's Apostle (SAW) and informed him of that, he asked them to accept the fruits of my garden and excuse my father, but they refused. So, Allah's Apostle (SAW) did not give them the fruits, nor did he cut them and distribute them among them, but said, "I will come to you tomorrow morning." So, he came to us the next morning and walked about in between the date-palms and invoked Allah to bless their fruits. I plucked the fruits and gave back all the rights of the creditors in full, and a lot of fruits were left for us. Then I went to Allah's Apostle (SAW), who was sitting, and informed him about what happened. Allah's Apostle (SAW) told Umar, who was sitting there, to listen to the story. Umar said, "Don't we know that you are Allah's Apostle (SAW)? By Allah! you are Allah's Apostle (SAW)!"

that the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) remarked: The summit of unbelief is towards the East and the pride and conceitedness is found among the owners of horses and camels who are rude and uncivil, people of the tents, and tranquillity is found among those who rear goats and sheep.

Daily Hadith, 26-11-2016

Narrated: Abu Mahdhurah
that the Prophet (saw) sat him down and taught him the Adhan letter by letter. (One of the narrators) Ibrahim said: "It is like this Adhan of ours." I said:* "Recite it to me." He said: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest), Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah (I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah) - twice, Ashhadu anna Muhammdan Rasulullah (I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah) - twice. Then he said in a lower voice which those around him could hear: Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah (I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah) - twice, Ashhadu anna Muhammad (SAW)an Rasulullah (I bear witness that Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah) - twice, Haya 'ala as-salah (come to prayer) - twice, Hayya 'alal-falah (come to prosperity) - twice, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, la ilaha illallah (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, there is none worthy of worship ex cept Allah). (Hasan) Bishir bin Mu'adh who heard it from Ibrahim, and from whom An-Nasa'i is reporting it, is the one who is asking for the Adhan to be recited to him.

Narrated: Jabir bin Abdullah
I went to the Prophet (SAW) while he was in the Mosque. (Misar thinks, that Jabir went in the forenoon.) After the Prophet (SAW) told me to pray two Rakat prayer, he repayed me the debt he owed me and gave me an extra amount.

Daily Hadith, 21-11-2016

Narrated:
Yahya related to me from Malik from as-Salt ibn Zubayd from more than one of his family that Umar ibn al-Khattab discovered the smell of perfume while he was at ash-Shajara. Kathir ibn as-Salt was at his side, and Umar asked, "Who is this smell of perfume coming from?", and Kathir said, "From me, amir al-muminin. I matted my hair with perfume and I intended not to shave it." Umar said, "Go to a sharaba and rub your head until it is clean," and Kathir did so. Malik explained, "A sharaba is the ditch at the base of a date-palm."

Malik related to me that he had heard that Abd ar-Rahman ibn Awf rented land, and he continued to have it in his possession until he died. His son said, "I thought that it was ours because of the length of time which it had remained in his hands, until he mentioned it to us at his death. He ordered us to pay some rent which he owed in gold or silver."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar divorced one of his wives in the house of Hafsa, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, while he was on the way to the mosque. He went another route from behind the houses being averse to ask permission to enter until he returned to her.

Daily Hadith, 18-11-2016

Narrated: Jabir bin Abdullah
that Jibrail came to the Prophet (saw) to teach him the times of prayer. Jibrail went forward, with the Messenger of Allah (saw) behind him and the people behind the Messenger of Allah (saw), and he prayed Zuhr when the sun had passed its zenith. Then he came to him when the shadow of a person was equal to his height, and did as he had done before; Jibrail went forward, with the Messenger of Allah (saw) behind him and the people behind the Messenger of Allah (saw), and he prayed Asr. Then Jibrail came to him when the sun had set; Jibrail went forward, with the Messenger of Allah (saw) behind him and the people behind the Messenger of Allah (saw), and he prayed Maghrib. Then he came to him when the twilight had disappeared; Jibrail went forward, with the Messenger of Allah (saw) behind him and the people behind the Messenger of Allah (saw), and he prayed Isha. Then he came to him when dawn broke; Jibrail went forward, with the Messenger of Allah (saw) behind him and the people behind the Messenger of Allah (saw), and he prayed Al-Ghadah.* Then he came to him on the second day when a man's shadow was equal to his height, and did as he had done the day before, he prayed Zuhr. Then he came to him when the shadow of a man was twice his height, and did what he had done the day before, and prayed Asr. Then he came to him when the sun had set and did what he had done the day before, and prayed Maghrib. Then we slept and got up, and slept and got up again. Then he came to him and did what he had done the day before and prayed Isha. Then he came to him when the (light of) dawn was spread (on the horizon)** and the stars were still clear in the sky, and he did the same as he had done the day before, and prayed Al-Ghadah. Then he said: 'The time between these two is the time for prayer.'" (Sahih) *Meaning Fajr, the morning prayer. **The Fajr prayer was elongated because the Prophet (saw) recited at length during the prayer, so that it ended just before sunrise. That defined the end of the time for Fajr, as the beginning of the time was defined by the moment when he started the first Rakah.

Daily Hadith, 14-11-2016

Narrated: Aisha
I asked the Prophet whether the round wall (near Ka'ba) was part of the Ka'ba. The Prophet replied in the affirmative. I further said, "What is wrong with them, why have they not included it in the building of the Ka'ba?" He said, "Don't you see that your people (Quraish) ran short of money (so they could not include it inside the building of Ka'ba)?" I asked, "What about its gate? Why is it so high?" He replied, "Your people did this so as to admit into it whomever they liked and prevent whomever they liked. Were your people not close to the Pre-lslamic Period of ignorance (i.e. they have recently embraced Islam) and were I not afraid that they would dislike it, surely I would have included the (area of the) wall inside the building of the Ka'ba and I would have lowered its gate to the level of the ground."

Daily Hadith, 12-11-2016

Narrated:
Yahya said that he had heard Malik say, "The undisputed way of doing things in our community concerning pledges is that in cases where land or a house or an animal are known to have been destroyed whilst in the possession of the broker of the pledge, and the circumstances of the loss are known, the loss is against the pledger. There is no deduction made from what is due to the broker at all. Any pledge which perishes in the possession of the broker and the circumstances of its loss are only known by his word, the loss is against the broker and he is liable for its value. He is asked to describe whatever was destroyed and then he is made to take an oath about that description and what he loaned on security for it. "Then people of discernment evaluate the description. If the pledge was worth more than what the broker loaned, the pledger takes the extra. If the assessed value of the pledge is less than what he was loaned, the pledger is made to take an oath as to what the broker loaned and he does not have to pay the extra which the broker loaned above the assessed value of the pledge. If the pledger refuses to take an oath, he has to give the broker the extra above the assessed value of the pledge. If the broker says that he doesn't know the value of the pledge, the pledger is made to take an oath on the description of the pledge and that is his if he brings a matter which is not disapproved of." Malik said, "All this applies when the broker takes the pledge and does not put it in the hands of another."

Umar ibn al-Khattab went out in dismay dragging his cloak, saying, "This temporary marriage, had I come across it, I would have ordered stoning and done away with it!"

We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the Fire, and their number have We made to be a stumbling-block for those who disbelieve; that those to whom the Scripture hath been given may have certainty, and that believers may increase in faith; and that those to whom the Scripture hath been given and believers may not doubt; and that those in whose hearts there is disease, and disbelievers, may say: What meaneth Allah by this similitude? Thus Allah sendeth astray whom He will, and whom He will He guideth. None knoweth the hosts of thy Lord save Him. This is naught else than a Reminder unto mortals.

Daily Hadith, 07-11-2016

Narrated: Abu Ishaq
"I heard Abdullah bin Yazid delivering a Khutbah. He said: 'Al-Bara', who was no liar, told us that when they prayed with the Messenger of Allah (saw), he would raise his head from bowing and they would remain standing until they saw him prostrate, then they would prostrate.'" (Sahih)

Ayat of the Quran

Verse No: 3

إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ

Save those who believe and do good works, and exhort one another to truth and exhort one another to endurance.

Daily Hadith, 06-11-2016

Narrated:
Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z Zubayr al-Makki that Abu Maiz al-Aslami Abdullah ibn Sufyan told him that once, when he was sitting with Abdullah ibn Umar, a woman came to ask him for an opinion. She said, "I set out intending to do tawaf of the House, but then, when I got to the gate of the Mosque, I started bleeding, so I went back until it had left me. Then I set out again, and then, when I got to the gate of the mosque, I started bleeding, so I went back until it had left me. Then I set off again, and then, when I got to the gate of the mosque, I started bleeding." Abdullah ibn Umar said, "That is only an impulse from Shaytan. Do ghusl, then bind your private parts with a cloth and do tawaf."

Daily Hadith, 05-11-2016

Narrated: Abu al-Aliya
Ibn Abbas, the son of your Prophet's uncle, told us that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) had observed: On the night of my night journey I passed by Moses b. 'Imran (peace be upon him), a man light brown in complexion, tall. well-built as if he was one of the men of the Shanu'a, and saw Jesus son of Mary as a medium-statured man with white and red complexion and crisp hair, and I was shown Malik the guardian of Fire, and Dajjal amongst the signs which were shown to me by Allah. He (the narrator) observed: Then do not doubt his (i. e. of the Holy Prophet) meeting with him (Moses). Qatada elucidated it thus: Verily the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him), met Moses (peace be upon him).

Daily Hadith, 04-11-2016

Narrated: Anas bin Malik
"Once Mu'adh was along with Allah's Apostle as a companion rider. Allah's Apostle said, "O Mu'adh bin Jabal." Mu'adh replied, "Labbaik and Sa'daik. O Allah's Apostle!" Again the Prophet said, "O Mu'adh!" Mu'adh said thrice, "Labbaik and Sa'daik, O Allah's Apostle!" Allah's Apostle said, "There is none who testifies sincerely that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is his Apostle, except that Allah, will save him from the Hell-fire." Mu'adh said, "O Allah's Apostle ! Should I not inform the people about it so that they may have glad tidings?" He replied, "When the people hear about it, they will solely depend on it." Then Mu'adh narrated the above-mentioned Hadith just before his death, being afraid of committing sin (by not telling the knowledge).

Verse No: 91

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ آمِنُوا بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا نُؤْمِنُ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَيَكْفُرُونَ بِمَا وَرَاءَهُ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا مَعَهُمْ ۗ قُلْ فَلِمَ تَقْتُلُونَ أَنْبِيَاءَ اللَّهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ

And when it is said unto them: Believe in that which Allah hath revealed, they say: We believe in that which was revealed unto us. And they disbelieve in that which cometh after it, though it is the truth confirming that which they possess. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Why then slew ye the prophets of Allah aforetime, if ye are (indeed) believers?

قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ فِي شَكٍّ مِنْ دِينِي فَلَا أَعْبُدُ الَّذِينَ تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنْ أَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Say (O Muhammad): O mankind! If ye are in doubt of my religion, then (know that) I worship not those whom ye worship instead of Allah, but I worship Allah Who causeth you to die, and I have been commanded to be of the believers.
