Daily Hadith:Beginning of Creation - 19th Rajab 1431 (1st July 2010)

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Beginning of Creation - 19th Rajab 1431 (1st July 2010)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "If Allah loves a person,
He calls Gabriel ('Alaihis-Salam) saying, 'Allah loves so and-so; O
Gabriel! Love him.' Gabriel ('Alaihis-Salam) would love him and make an
announcement amongst the inhabitants of the Heaven. 'Allah loves so-and-so,
therefore you should love him also,' and so all the inhabitants of the
Heaven would love him, and then he is granted the pleasure of the people on
the earth."

Daily Hadith:Beginning of Creation - 18th Rajab 1431 (30th June 2010)

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Beginning of Creation - 18th Rajab 1431 (30th June 2010)

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mus'ud (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam), the true and truly inspired
said, "(The matter of the Creation of) a human being is put together in the
womb of the mother in forty days, and then he becomes a clot of thick blood
for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then
Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to
write down his (i.e. the new creature's) deeds, his livelihood, his (date
of) death, and whether he will be blessed or wretched (in religion). Then
the soul is breathed into him. So, a man amongst you may do good deeds till
there is only a cubit between him and Paradise and then what has been
written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (evil) deeds
characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire. And similarly a man
amongst you may do (evil) deeds till there is only a cubit between him and
the (Hell) Fire, and then what has been written for him decides his
behavior, and he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of
Paradise."

Daily Hadith:Beginning of Creation - 17th Rajab 1431 (29th June 2010)

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Beginning of Creation - 17th Rajab 1431 (29th June 2010)

Narrated Malik bin Sasaa (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "While I was at the House
in a state midway between sleep and wakefulness, (an angel recognized me)
as the man lying between two men. A golden tray full of wisdom and belief
was brought to me and my body was cut open from the throat to the lower
part of the abdomen and then my abdomen was washed with Zam-zam water and
(my heart was) filled with wisdom and belief. Al-Buraq, a white animal,
smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey was brought to me and I set
out with Gabriel ('Alaihis-Salam).

When I reached the nearest heaven, Gabriel ('Alaihis-Salam) said to the
heaven gate-keeper, 'Open the gate.' The gatekeeper asked, 'Who is it?'. He
said, 'Gabriel.' The gate-keeper said,'Who is accompanying you?' Gabriel
('Alaihis-Salam) said, 'Muhammad.' The gate-keeper said, 'Has he been
called?' Gabriel ('Alaihis-Salam) said, 'Yes.' Then it was said, 'He is
welcomed. What a wonderful visit his is!' Then I met Adam ('Alaihis-Salam)
and greeted him and he said, 'You are welcomed O son and a Prophet.'

Then we ascended to the second heaven. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel
('Alaihis-Salam) said, 'Gabriel.' It was said, 'Who is with you?' He said,
'Muhammad.' It was asked, 'Has he been sent for?' He said, 'Yes.' It was
said, 'He is welcomed. What a wonderful visit his is!" Then I met Jesus
('Alaihis-Salam) and Yahya (John) ('Alaihis-Salam) who said, 'You are
welcomed, O brother and a Prophet.'

Then we ascended to the third heaven. It was asked, 'Who is it?' Gabriel
('Alaihis-Salam) said, 'Gabriel.' It was asked 'Who is with you?' Gabriel
('Alaihis-Salam) said, 'Muhammad.' It was asked, 'Has he been sent for?'
'Yes,' said Gabriel ('Alaihis-Salam). 'He is welcomed. What a wonderful
visit his is!' (The Prophet added). There I met Joseph ('Alaihis-Salam) and
greeted him, and he replied, 'You are welcomed, O brother and a Prophet!'

Then we ascended to the 4th heaven and again the same questions and answers
were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met Idris
('Alaihis-Salam) and greeted him. He said, 'You are welcomed O brother and
Prophet.' Then we ascended to the 5th heaven and again the same questions
and answers were exchanged as in previous heavens. There I met and greeted
Aaron ('Alaihis-Salam) who said, 'You are welcomed O brother and a
Prophet".

Then we ascended to the 6th heaven and again the same questions and answers
were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met and greeted Moses
('Alaihis-Salam) who said, 'You are welcomed O brother and a Prophet.' When
I proceeded on, he (Moses) started weeping and on being asked why he was
weeping, he said, 'O Lord! Followers of this youth who was sent after me
will enter Paradise in greater number than my followers.'

Then we ascended to the seventh heaven and again the same questions and
answers were exchanged as in the previous heavens. There I met and greeted
Abraham ('Alaihis-Salam) who said, 'You are welcomed O son and a Prophet.'
Then I was shown Al-Bait-al-Ma'mur (i.e. Allah's House). I asked Gabriel
('Alaihis-Salam) about it and he said, 'This is Al Bait-ul-Ma'mur where
70,000 angels perform prayers daily and when they leave they never return
to it (but always a fresh batch comes into it daily).' Then I was shown
Sidrat-ul-Muntaha (i.e. a tree in the seventh heaven) and I saw its Nabk
fruits which resembled the clay jugs of Hajr (i.e. a town in Arabia), and
its leaves were like the ears of elephants, and four rivers originated at
its root, two of them were apparent and two were hidden. I asked Gabriel
('Alaihis-Salam) about those rivers and he said, 'The two hidden rivers are
in Paradise, and the apparent ones are the Nile and the Euphrates.'

Then fifty prayers were enjoined on me. I descended till I met Moses
('Alaihis-Salam) who asked me, 'What have you done?' I said, 'Fifty prayers
have been enjoined on me.' He said, 'I know the people better than you,
because I had the hardest experience to bring Bani Israel to obedience.
Your followers cannot put up with such obligation. So, return to your Lord
and request Him to reduce the number of prayers.' I returned and requested
Allah (for reduction) and He made it forty. I returned and (met Moses) and
had a similar discussion, and then returned again to Allah for reduction
and He made it thirty, then twenty, then ten, and then I came to Moses
('Alaihis-Salam) who repeated the same advice. Ultimately Allah reduced it
to five. When I came to Moses ('Alaihis-Salam) again, he said, 'What have
you done?' I said, 'Allah has made it five only.' He repeated the same
advice but I said that I surrendered (to Allah's Final Order)'" Allah's
Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) was addressed by Allah, "I have
decreed My Obligation and have reduced the burden on My slaves, and I shall
reward a single good deed as if it were ten good deeds."

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Beginning of Creation - 14th Rajab 1431 (26th June 2010)

Narrated Abu Dhar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) asked me at sunset, "Do you know
where the sun goes (at the time of sunset)?" I replied, "Allah and His
Apostle know better." He said, "It goes (i.e. travels) till it prostrates
Itself underneath the Throne and takes the permission to rise again, and it
is permitted and then (a time will come when) it will be about to prostrate
itself but its prostration will not be accepted, and it will ask permission
to go on its course but it will not be permitted, but it will be ordered to
return whence it has come and so it will rise in the west. And that is the
interpretation of the Statement of Allah: "And the sun runs its fixed
course For a term (decreed). that is The Decree of (Allah) The Exalted in
Might, The All-Knowing." (36.38)

Daily Hadith:Loot to the Cause of Allah - 6th Rajab 1431 (18th June 2010)

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Loot to the Cause of Allah - 6th Rajab 1431 (18th June 2010)

Narrated Ibn 'Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Umar bin Al-Khattab expelled all the Jews and Christians from the land of
Hijaz. Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) after conquering
Khaibar, thought of expelling the Jews from the land which, after he
conquered it belonged to Allah, Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) and the Muslims. But the Jews requested Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu
'Alaihi Wa Sallam) to leave them there on the condition that they would do
the labor and get half of the fruits (the land would yield). Allah's
Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "We shall keep you on these
terms as long as we wish." Thus they stayed till the time of 'Umar's
Caliphate when he expelled them to Taima and Ariha.

Daily Hadith:Loot to the Cause of Allah - 5th Rajab 1431 (17th June 2010)

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Loot to the Cause of Allah - 5th Rajab 1431 (17th June 2010)

Narrated 'Amr bin Taghlib (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) gave (gifts) to some people
to the exclusion of some others. The latter seemed to be displeased by
that. The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "I give to some
people, lest they should deviate from True Faith or lose patience, while I
refer other people to the goodness and contentment which Allah has put in
their hearts, and 'Amr bin Taghlib is amongst them." 'Amr bin Taghlib said,
"The statement of Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) is dearer
to me than red camels."

Narrated Al-Hasan: 'Amr bin Taghlib told us that Allah's Apostle
(Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) got some property or some war prisoners and
he distributed them in the above way (i.e. giving to some people to the
exclusion of others).

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "If Allah wants to do

Daily Hadith:Loot to the Cause of Allah - 1st Rajab 1431 (13th June 2010)

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Loot to the Cause of Allah - 1st Rajab 1431 (13th June 2010)

Narrated 'Ali (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Fatima complained of what she suffered from the hand mill and from
grinding, when she got the news that some slave girls of the booty had been
brought to Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam). She went to him
to ask for a maid-servant, but she could not find him, and told 'Aisha of
her need. When the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) came, Aisha
informed him of that. The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) came to
our house when we had gone to our beds. (On seeing the Prophet) we were
going to get up, but he said, 'Keep at your places,' I felt the coolness of
the Prophet's feet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) on my chest. Then he
said, "Shall I tell you a thing which is better than what you asked me for?
When you go to your beds, say: 'Allahu Akbar (i.e. Allah is Greater)' for
34 times, and 'Alhamdu Lillah (i.e. all the praises are for Allah)' for 33
times, and Subhan Allah (i.e. Glorified be Allah) for 33 times. This is
better for you than what you have requested."

verses of 'Abdullah (bin Rawaha): "O Allah, were it not for You, We would
not have been guided, Nor would we have given in charity, nor prayed. So,
bestow on us calmness, and when we meet the enemy. Then make our feet firm,
for indeed, Yet if they want to put us in affliction, (i.e. want to fight
against us) we would not (flee but withstand them)." The Prophet

Daily Hadith:Fighting for Allah - 19th Jumada al-Thani 1431 (2nd June 2010)

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Fighting for Allah - 19th Jumada al-Thani 1431 (2nd June 2010)

Narrated Aslam (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

While I was in the company of 'Abdullah bin 'Umar on the way to Makkah, he
received the news of the severe illness of Safiya bint Abi Ubaid (i.e. his
wife), so he proceeded at greater speed, and when the twilight disappeared,
he dismounted and offered the Maghrib and 'Isha 'prayers together and said,
"I saw the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) delaying the Maghrib
prayer to offer it along with the 'Isha' when he was in a hurry on a
journey."
