Daily Hadith, 08-07-2016

Narrated: Amra
Aisha said that Barira came to seek her help in the writing of her emancipation. Aisha said to her, "If you wish, I will pay your masters (your price) and the wala will be for me." When Allah's Apostle (SAW) came, she told him about it. The Prophet (SAW) said to her, "Buy her (i.e. Barira) and manumit her, for the Wala is for the one who manumits." Then Allah's Apostle (SAW) ascended the pulpit and said, "What about those people who stipulate conditions which are not in Allah's Laws? Whoever stipulates such conditions as are not in Allah's Laws, then those conditions are invalid even if he stipulated a hundred such conditions."

إِنَّمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ ۚ وَإِنْ تُؤْمِنُوا وَتَتَّقُوا يُؤْتِكُمْ أُجُورَكُمْ وَلَا يَسْأَلْكُمْ أَمْوَالَكُمْ

The life of the world is but a sport and a pastime. And if ye believe and ward off (evil). He will give you your wages, and will not ask of you your wordly wealth.

"I heard Umm Qais bint Mihsan say that she asked the Messenger of Allah (saw) about menstrual blood that gets on one's clothes. He said: 'Scratch it with a stick and wash it with water and lotus leaves.'" (Sahih)

Daily Hadith, 06-07-2016

Narrated:
Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Yazid, the mawla of al Aswad ibn Sufyan, from Abu Salama ibn Abd ar Rahman that Abu Hurayra recited al-Inshiqaq (Sura 84) to them and prostrated in it. When he had finished he told them that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, had prostrated in it.

Lo! those who wrangle concerning the revelations of Allah without a warrant having come unto them, there is naught else in their breasts save pride which they will never attain. So take thou refuge in Allah. Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Seer.

Daily Hadith, 04-07-2016

Narrated: Nafi
Abdullah bin Umar used to say: "When the Muslims arrived in Al-Madinah they used to gather and try to figure out the time for prayer, and no one gave the call to prayer. One day they spoke about that; some of them said: 'Let us use a bell* like the Christians do;' other said, 'No, a horn like the Jews have.' Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said: 'Why don't you send a man to announce the time of prayer?' The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: 'O Bilal, get up and give the call to prayer.'" (Sahih) *An-Naqus: "It is an instrument made of copper or other than that, which is struck to ring." Hadi As-Sari by Ibn Hajar. That is, a "bell". Some of them - like An-Nawawi in his commentary on Muslim - followed the definition given by Ibn Al-Athir in An-Nihayah; that it is a long piece of wood which was struck by a smaller piece of wood.

Narrated: Itban bin Malik
The Prophet came to my house and said, "Where do you like me to pray?" I pointed to a place. The Prophet then said, "Allahu Akbar", and we aligned behind him and he offered a two-Rak'at prayer.
